I’ve been shedding some LBs, as in pounds, and I’ve been feeling great.

What’s the next natural state? Well, for those that are perfect human beings, they stay the course, but for the rest of us, it’s not that simple.

I had family come visit and ate more than I’ve eaten in a long time.

All of that overeating from the weekend made me feel like absolute crap the next morning when I went to do a workout.

I was not honoring my body, and I felt horrible. Literally. I didn’t sleep well, I felt fat and like a total slob.

It wasn’t worth it.

Why is this relevant? Physically, there are just some things that aren’t worth it, whether it’s alcohol, drugs, sugar, porn, or excessive carbs, it’s all the same.

There are people that have these electrically charged barbed wire called addiction around our spines and our souls as we trade the things that we want most for the things we want now.

You’ve got to figure out what is non-negotiable and whether you’re willing to follow through with them.

It requires integrity to remain consistent with your non-negotiable.

I’m not putting myself in a shame box; I’m learning from it, and moving forward.

I’m recommitting to getting back on board without shaming myself.

Life is too short to walk in guilt and shame, breaking your word and staying off track. Drop the stories that cause you to continue to stay complacent. Find what’s non-negotiable and stick to it.

Ask yourself:

* What are some things that are non-negotiable in my life?

* Where can I recommit to benchmarks helping me move forward?

* What commitments will I recommit to?

If you’ve slipped up, get over it and keep moving forward. What is it within us that LOVES to beat ourselves up with the hammers of guilt and shame?
