For years I was making multiple posts during the day, receive thousands of likes, and making videos before everyone started do that through Facebook Live, and recently I decided that I needed to choose a different path.

So, I got off of Facebook.

If you get clear, than you can ditch your own Facebooks in life.

What do I mean by that?

Social media has been an incredible tool, but it was also a HUGE distraction.

When I looked at my relationships with my family, I got CLEAR that I want to have a relationship with my sons and wife that is based on communication and trust, which requires direct communication and contact with them. When I allow distractions like living a life glued to my phone, I am not clear about what gifts I have right in front of me.

In January I’ve been hearing the Voice to tell me to get off of Facebook, despite the positive benefits as a tool that it is. But you know how it’s been effecting me?

I’m not as tired because I’ve been sucked into looking at a screen right before bed. I’m able to have conversations with my sons and watch classics like Karate Kid with them.

If you lack power, you will be consumed by the path of least resistance, which leads to addictions, and all around us there are people glued to their phones. They are ADDICTED to what social media is telling them instead of the truth of face to face interaction.

What do I do instead of scrolling on my phone? I have real conversations with other people.

Am I doing the things that I really and truly want in my life? If the answer is yes, keep doing it!

Ask yourself:

* Do you really know what you want in your life?

* Can I get clear about what it looks like?

* What’s the Facebook (distraction) in my life that I need to drop?

I know what I want. I know who I am, and I know what I need to do to get what it is that I want.
